Ceara just stared at the woman, shaking her head. Did the woman really think that she was human? She was floating, what human could float? None. She was either some sort of human freak, or she wasn't human and just didn't know it, which seemed much more likely to Ceara. Still, it's not like she really cared so much. So long as the woman didn't use some freak power of hers to make her win the fight, it didn't matter much to her. Surely it would be harder to fight while floating, so why should she mind if the woman was just making it harder on herself?
She pulled her sword away quickly as the dog snapped at it, not wanting to actually hurt the dog. She stumbled back a step and glared at the dog for only a moment, before it backed off for some reason. She was paying close attention to the woman and only the woman, she didn't really want to be attacked by a dog while they were fighting. Still, the dog seemed to have backed off slightly for now, so she turned her attention back on the woman.
"What human do you know that can float?" She asked, rolling her eyes. She watched the woman closely for signs that she would attack, and prepared to block as the woman lunged at her, aiming for her right side. She wasn't expecting the woman to change and aim for her shoulder at the last moment, but she ducked purely from reflex, giving her more time to raise her own sword over her head to protect herself. She still felt the woman's sword dig into her shoulder for a moment, but it wasn't very deep, since a second later she'd push the woman's sword back upwards as she straightened up once again, blocking the woman's sword with her own sword still above her head. Using this moment that hopefully the woman's sword would still be trapped over hers, she'd turn slightly and lash out with her foot, aiming to kick the woman hard in the gut and send her stumbling backwards.
"What is your name?" She would then ask, because she was growing tired of thinking of the woman as being nameless._________________________________________ Words: 395 Mood: Quite good =) Notes: None

Yuliya sneered at her. It wasn't like she had to keep on reminding her that she was in fact a human, what else could she be? Vivek was a human, so she had to be as well. Voyin was also a human, and he was her brother. Voda was also human. Also, her grandmother was human. She shuddered as she remembered that that woman was actually related to her. How had such a vile thing as her given birth to such a noble man as her father? She supposed it all had come from her grandfather, whom she'd never met, who died when her father was a young boy.
When the woman kicked at her gut, Yuliya did something that...normally would be stupid, but right now it was impulsive. In another situation, she would've spun to the ground, but instead, she jumped. It was ridiculous to think that something her stature could jump that high up...but somehow she just kept going up. It felt...amazing to have so much space between herself and the ground, with the wind blowing all around her, but soon it was gone and she was back to being only a few inches off the ground. She growled slightly, hating the feeling of coming back down.
"Like I would give the name my father gave me to you. He chose it himself, which means you are not worthy to use it. You can call me Zorya." Zorya was actually the name the majority of people she knew called her by, for it was the name her people called her by. Yuliya was what her father and brother called her. Evening Star was what she had heard her mother called her. Voda had a new name for each time he saw her. And Okozir called her Tornado. How she missed them all...
What would her father say to her right now? She knew what, he would tell her that this was a dumb fight to be in, that she should leave, that she could could be the better of the two, but she just couldn't, not when she had insulted the Cossacks. She held her sword in front of her, pointing it at the ground, then she lunged, but spun and stopped at the woman's side to swipe at her back.

Ceara stared at the woman as she very stupidly jumped to avoid the kick aimed at her gut. However, the woman was somehow able to jump much higher than, well, anyone could...and how could someone jump when they were already floating? Ceara's mouth dropped open once again as she lowered her sword to her side, staring at her and wondering how she could possibly think she was human when she could do stuff like that!
"...You do realize humans can't jump like that, don't you? You're not human!" She said as the woman landed not on the ground, but a few inches off of it, floating once again. Still, she shook her head and held her sword up and at the ready as the woman did. "How about I just call you Bitch?" She grumbled under her breath, not really caring if Zorya heard her or not. She was about to tell Zorya what to call her in return, since it was only fair, but she forgot about it a moment later as the woman lunged at her once more.
She noticed the sword going for her back and lunged forward, not at the woman or anything, just desperate to get away from the sword before it hit her. Still, she felt a little pain in her back as the sword did in fact hit her, though not very deeply. She felt a burning pain in her back, however it was less intense than usual, but that fact didn't stop the memories from taking over. She stopped completely still a few feet away from the woman, her eyes shut and pressing the palm of her hand against her forehead. Painful memories flashed in her mind's eye, but she recovered a moment later and hoped that Zorya wouldn't have noticed it, though she was silly to think anyone wouldn't have noticed her pause for about ten seconds.
"Well that wasn't very nice." She said quietly as she turned back to face the woman, doing her best to ignore the pain in her back and the memories that were still fighting for her attention. She suddenly lunged forward, aiming her sword at the woman's side, though she released the sword with one hand mid swing and with her free hand aimed to deliver a hard uppercut to Zorya's chin. Needless to say, she was a little angered that the woman had gone for her back, even if the woman didn't know that that was her weak spot._________________________________________ Words: 439 Mood: A bit of a headache, but good other than that Notes: I think my supply of muse is running out once again! "It's just my element," she shouted, "I'm good with air." Of course, she didn't mentioned how normally she was terrible at her element and couldn't use magic to save her life other than shape-shifting. She usually made a huge mess of things, just launching tornadoes at people without any tact. (Which was how she earned to nickname Tornado.) But now...the wind was almost telling her how to use it, how to power her moves with it instead of just pushing it around. But still, her energy was being drained from her. It was getting harder just to hold her sword. She wasn't the strongest person in the world, but she was her father's daughter, and it was embarrassing to barely be able to lift a rather lightweight sword.
Then woman dropped her sword and aimed a punch at her...well, she hadn't really been expecting that, but she was more than thankful to drop Straykar, which she did so promptly. It almost felt like she was betraying it, but she couldn't just lug it around. The second she dropped it, she floated just a little bit higher, and the burning in her back intensified. What was this? All she could think about was flying. The air, the wind, the clouds, the sky...how would it feel to be so close to the stars that you could touch them? She would be able to feel the star that had changed and started her life, the evening star. But why, why had this new feeling come on?
Mortal weapons have no place in the sky.
She sort of...fell out of the way, to the right, where she had dropped her sword. She wanted to leave it, but she ducked down and grabbed it with her right hands, and all the sensations stopped, and she sunk just a little bit further to the ground. She tried to tell herself that it was because it was heavy, but that still didn't explain why her back had hurt so much more.
Petty mortal arguments have no place in the sky.
Yuliya used her time close to the ground to launch a punch to the woman's gut with her left hand, and then she would jump backwards to where Apollo was. She needed to get out of this fight.

Ceara rolled her eyes at the woman's next words, though she stayed quiet. She was tired of arguing with her about something so silly and useless. If this obviously inhuman woman wanted to continue being delusional and thing that she was in fact human, fine. Let her. Ceara would likely never see her again after they parted ways tonight, so why should she care what the woman believed to be truth and lies?
She was disappointed that her punch hadn't hit the woman, but she didn't have much time to continue thinking about that, as the woman was suddenly crouched at the ground at her feet, grabbing for the sword that she had dropped. Ceara pulled back her foot, preparing to kick Zorya, however she wasn't expecting the woman to suddenly throw a punch towards her gut, and it hit full on, knocking her off balance as she stumbled backwards, slightly doubled over from the pain. She still wanted to get back at Zorya for hitting her back, however she sensed that the woman was eager for the fight to end, so Ceara decided not to attack her once again. She'd probably only get even more injured if she attacked the woman now, since now Zorya had a sword while her's was still on the ground a few feet away.
She wanted to say something, however she wasn't sure what to say. So instead she just wrapped one arm around her aching stomach and straightened, glaring at the woman though she didn't move. The pain in her stomach wasn't actually all the bad, and she figured it would go away soon enough, so she didn't worry about it and considered herself lucky she hadn't gotten more injured...though she was annoyed that she'd only managed to get one hit on the woman's shoulder, and that was only because the woman hadn't moved for fear of having the horse that had been behind her getting hurt._________________________________________ Words: 342 Mood: Not too bad =) Notes: None, I don't think. Yuliya clutched her left shoulder. Hitting the girl had had it, in fact, the only reason she had been able to do it at all was the wind helping her along. However, she would not show her pain to her opponent, even if she did seem to be backing away. She let go of her shoulder and shakily held her blade, pointed at her. It was hard to focus...she was so light-headed. So even if she didn't know she was using magic it was still affecting her? But she couldn't control it! What kind of horrible curse was this?
"You will never dishonor the Cossacks again," she stated in a clear voice, but she winced, and then let Straykar clatter to the ground, again. Then she herself fell to the ground, but not...to the ground, in fact, she floated higher. An odd scene it must have looked, to see her collapsed but nearly a foot off the ground. She was just so tired, and her back was still burning, and everything was caught up in her throat and everything was fuzzy. She needed to get away and home, but she just couldn't lift herself up.
A wet nose poked her face, and she opened her eyes to see Apollo. She didn't need to worry about being attacked, not while he was there. He licked her on her nose, and then she floated just a little bit higher.
'I thought so. Yuliya, if you want this to stop, you should grab Straykar and think about humans.'
'I don't want to...'
He nudged her sword to her, and indeed, when she reached down to touch it, she did sink lower, and feel a little bit better, but she had already used too much magic without knowing it, and so, much to her later disgust, she passed out.

Ceara narrowed her eyes as the woman raised her sword once again and pointed it at her. Was 'Zorya' or whatever her real name was going to kill her? She resisted the urge to say that she hadn't said anything that dishonored the Cossacks. She'd said that she didn't know much about them, and that the woman seemed awfully confident, but that was it. Still, the woman wasn't looking so good so she stayed quiet and just waited to see what would happen next.
As the woman collapsed...or, half collapsed as she never really hit the ground, Ceara couldn't help but frown in concern. She hadn't wanted to actually hurt the woman. She took a tentative step forward, her eyes on the woman's dog this time. She wanted to help the woman, but she had a feeling her dog was not about to let her do so. She left her sword on the ground behind her, hoping that if she didn't have her sword in hand she'd look less threatening and the dog would let her check on the woman. She hadn't thought the woman's wound was all that bad...maybe she'd lost more blood than Ceara had thought? Surely that must be it, since she saw no other real reason to have caused the woman to pass out as she had. Considering the dog hadn't suddenly lunged at her, she'd take another small step closer, her eyes still on the dog._________________________________________ Words: 260 Mood: Not bad Notes: Huh. I wonder whether Apollo will let Ceara get close enough to help.

(Since Yuliya is kind of...passed out, I shall be writing this post from Apollo's point of view.) The black dog let a growl rumble through his throat. He was threatening, he knew it, but he had to be at his best. It was his job. It was his duty. It was his reason for existing. He trusted Vivek. He owed his whole life to Vivek. He had lived solely because of the strong warrior, and he had given him one job: protect Yuliya. if he couldn't even do that, then he was a poor excuse for a guard dog. Vivek had trusted him with this, this difficult job, and difficult it indeed was. Yuliya was stupid. She was intuitive. She was impulsive. It was Apollo's job to control that.
He barked at the girl as she tried to get closer. She was an enemy. Even if she hadn't fought Yuliya, she would've been an enemy. Anyone who wasn't himself, Yuliya, Luna, Streak, Black Jewel, Mr. Darcy, Koli, and the Cossacks was an enemy. Humans were not to be trusted. They never meant what they said. Yuliya wanted to fight them all, Apollo wanted to avoid them all. They brought nothing good, and as much as he'd like to believe, Yuliya could not destroy them all, even with the help of him and the rest of her companions.
He needed to get Yuliya away. Perhaps if he found a way to get her on Black Jewel, she would stop floating. He barked louder as he called the mare. He could hear her cantering about, but she wouldn't come unless Yuliya called her. Frustrated, he snapped at the woman to let her know not to touch Yuliya and then he shot out after Jewel. The mare squealed, but she knew he wouldn't hurt her. he merely herded her back to where Yuliya was. It was then that he saw Yuliya's eyes flicker. Perhaps she could mount Black Jewel herself, and then they could go back to their sanctuary on the beach.

Ceara sighed in annoyance as the dog barked and snapped at her. Couldn't he see that she was just trying to make sure 'Zorya' was okay!? Her shoulder might need bandaging, if she was bleeding a lot, which would explain why she'd passed out. "Oh, come on!" She grumbled at the dog. However, a moment later the dog raced off, likely going to get the horse. She knew the dog had warned her against it, but she moved forward as soon as he was gone, giving the woman's uninjured shoulder a little shake. "Hey...wake up." She said, feeling a little awkward and not knowing what else to do or say.___________________________________________ Words: 119 Mood: Ughhh! Headache! Her eyes flickered, and when she opened them...she felt the ground beneath her. To be truthful, she was slightly disappointed, but deeply thankful at the same time. She could feel Apollo beside her, and he was growling. She opened her eyes more to see that woman beside her. She glared, and jumped off the ground with her sword in her hand, feeling the earth beneath her feet. Anger pulsed through her. She had actually fainted in front of an opponent, how much weaker could she seem? It disgusted her to her core.
'Apollo, how long was I out?'
'Not long.'
She slipped Straykar into it's sheath and pulled herself up onto the waiting Black Jewel with one hand, now that her strength had returned to her. But now her left shoulder hurt more. Apollo barked again, and Yuliya threw a dirty look to the woman. What had she come out for originally? Oh yes, that was right, to treat the injured cow she had seen. Well...she looked at her shoulder...it had been worth it. The life of an animal was always worth it.
"Never touch me again," she seethed.

Ceara narrowed her eyes furiously at the woman's words, clenching and unclenching her fists. She hated this woman. Well, maybe not hated her, but she didn't like the woman at all. She seemed to think she was better than everyone else just because she was a Cossack, and she jumped to conclusions by thinking that Ceara had dishonored the Cossacks, or something like that, and she was just plain infuriating! Ceara wanted to start swearing at her then and there, tell her to get out of her fucking sight, but she held herself back...slightly.
"Whatever you say, Bitch." She snarled, then turned around and walked back over to her sword, retrieving it and sheathing it before turning her glare back on the woman. "Be thankful that instead of trying to kill you I tried to wake you up." She said before turning and walking away, not looking back over her shoulder at the woman. With any luck, she'd never see her again._________________________________________ Words: 175 Mood: Slightly annoyed (feeling what Ceara feels, can't help it) Notes: End of post?
