``beast races
These beast species are to be played like humanoid characters, and they may NOT be applied for in Character Registration under Pending Beasts (or anywhere else by the character creation board). You must use a picture of a "real" beast for your character, meaning go through fantasy movies (Narnia, Lord of the Rings, etc...) and find pictures of the beasts in there. No paintings, drawings, anime, cartoons, or ANYTHING drawn. I am also willing to lend my graphics skills if you would like me to "make" a beast for you (for example, put a horn on a horse to make it a unicorn).
Oh, and please only apply for a beast character once you have at least one active humanoid character. I really don't want this site to become an animal RPG. It is a privilege to be able to play these types of characters and if it abused, I will take it away.
Thanks,
Peregrine.

origin: Greece average life span: 300 years reproduction: sexual preferred fighting methods:
- archery
- swordsmanship
- run-enemies-over
The centaur is described as a creature that has the body of a horse and the torso of a man or woman. Most centaurs are known to be rowdy drunkards and hyper-sexual fools, but some, like the descendants of Chiron are wise. These centaurs are obsessed with astronomy, fond of divination and enjoy games of intellect. Most centaurs are known for being irrationally proud and reckless. Cowardice is the lowest a centaur can sink and it could also mean death to said coward by organized hoards of angry centaurs. Death in battle is an honor and living under the tyranny of others is not an option.

origin: Avalon average life span: 80 years reproduction: sexual preferred fighting method:
- horn
- hooves
- teeth
- they may also run over their enemies
Unicorns are rather flighty creatures and they have good reason to be. They are similar to human in intelligence, but are much sought after for their horns and blood, as they both posses magical properties. They are highly illusive, but peaceful creatures that travel in small herds that average between 3-6 members. True unicorns may have black, white of gray coats, but any other color is an indication that they have been crossed with another specie of equid. Horns may be silver, gold or platinum in color. Blood is said to he or give the drinker immortal life, but to slay a unicorn warrants death in most kingdoms. Horns posses countless beneficial and even some malicious magical properties. A unicorn posses as much magic as a normal horse once its horn is removed ((and can therefore no longer be played as an RPG character at that point). Half unicorns have "diluted" powers. To converse with other species, a unicorn must maintain physical contact with that member of said species while both exchange conversation telepathically.
A unicorn may only be tamed by a virginal girl, in fact maidens are irresistible to unicorns. The unicorn will approach her and lay his head in the girl's lap, even if he knows there is danger. Once the maiden slips a golden bridle over his head, the unicorn will be cooperate and docile with whomever handles him. This attitude immediately ceases if the golden bridle is removed.

origin: Greece average life span: 50 years reproduction: sexual preferred fighting method:
- battle axes
- broadswords
- crossbows
- large rocks
- basically anything metal based and heavy
- they also enjoy chocking people and impaling their enemies on their horns
Minotaurs are described as bulls that walk upright as humanoids do. They are generally lacking in intelligence and enjoy smashing things. They are widely known to be both blood-thirsty and brutal. Most have short attention spans, crude interests and simple, inactive minds. There isn't much to minotaurs: most are unintelligent fools.

(and satyrs)
origin: Greece average life span: 80 years reproduction: sexual (usually with nymphs) preferred fighting methods:
- swords
- archery
- drunken mobs
Satyrs are sex-crazed, usually drunk fools that roam the countryside, free of morals or ethics. These men, for they are all men, usually go after nymphs, but they may also go after human women and many satyrs have earned the wrath of humans for abducting women.
Fauns are kinder, more innocent and prefer panpipes and a good party as opposed to chasing after the girls. As opposed to their wild relatives, they are sweet-natured, sensible and helpful to most humanoids.
Both satyrs and fauns have the torso of a man, but from the waist down, they look like a goat. They walk most precariously on their hind legs and are prone to falling over. Satyrs are usually Greek pagans and fauns are usually Christian, as an interesting point.

origin: Wales life span: 100 years reproduction: sexual preferred fighting methods:
- talons
- beaks
- general physical strength
- picking up enemies in their talons and dropping said enemies fro great heights
Griffins are a benign species, but they are also highly intelligent and tent to take sides in most arguments. Older griffins may or may not have a cranky disposition, but younger griffins are known for their patient, generally accepting personalities.
A griffins is a creature with the body of a lion, the head, talons and wings of an eager and the mind of a humanoid immortal, such as an elf. They are quite large: standing as tall as a Shire, not counting their height and full lengths of their wings.
Griffins have the ability to understand and speak in any language they can hear (including the "languages" of animals). Griffins are also monogamous and they usually mate for life.

origin: Persia life span: 35 years reproduction: sexual preferred fighting methods: no method preferred -- just kill, kill, kill!
"Manticore" literally means "man-eater" in Persian, but manticores rarely eat men. In fact, they will eat ale animals before they go for male humanoids. What they like are humanoids maidens, preferably princesses, but as long as they can get a virginal girl, they aren't too picky.
They have the rather hair and heavily influenced head of a man or woman, the body of a scarlet lion and the tail of a lion or scorpion, which may or may not shoot poison spines. Some manticores are winged or horned. Its feet may also be those of a dragon and it has three rows of shark teeth.

origin: Great Britain average life span: hundreds of years reproduction: sexual preferred fighting methods:
- fire
- claws
- teeth
- sheer size and physical strength
Most dragons are as dumb and simple as common beasts, but some have been enchanted to think as humanoids. These gifted few still posses their unique dragon gifts, but the can speak in humanoid tongues and reason with the intelligence of a humanoid. They still have a tendency to hoard treasure, but every species has its flaws.
Most "gifted" dragons are gentle, but are as dangerous as any normal dragon when provoked.
Dragons are great beasts with wings, claws, fangs and the ability to breath fire and smoke, they may be both male and female and are to be treated with great respect.
