“ Ouch,” Aliviah’s hand jerked close to her body as she cradled it to her chest. Her blue eye looked down to see a small dot of blood forming on the tip of her finger. Absentmindedly she been knitting while her mind played back to the events that took place last night when her needle prick her finger. She brought her finger to her lips and sucked on the tiny wound, her eyes looking down at the knitted mess. She was trying to fix a hole in one of her father’s favorites vest but she hadn’t paid much mind to what she was doing the whole time. With a sigh she gathered it all up and handed it to one of their servants, asking if she could finish it for her. When she woke this morning she felt empty without William holding her close to him. Her memory went back to the ride home, how she leaned against William’s chest as he lead his horse in the direction of her home. She knew her parent were still at the Conner Banquet so she didn’t really worry about her brother being at home. On the ride home she some how managed to drift to sleep in his arms, she barely remembers walking back to her room and falling into her bed. She was still in her dress when she awoke the next morning. Today she wore a simple white Dress that fit well with her body and moved loosely around her legs as she moved. As she walked down the long hallway on the upper floor of her father estate, her fingers traced the pattern on the stone wall she continued to think of the events of last night. The smile on her face never growing smaller because only grew bigger as she continued to remember. Her heart felt so light that she almost forgot she had one; the only reminder was the sound of it racing when the picture of William appeared in her mind. “ Lady Aliviah…” Her mind went blank as she looked over her shoulder to see her young servant, the daughter of Blaine and Mary; head servants in the Quincey household. She smiled at the young girl and nodded once at her, “ Sarah, What can I do for you this lovely evening? Sarah giggled lightly as she rushed to Aliviah side, the twinkle in her eyes told Aliviah that she had a lot of question. ‘Miss Aliviah, who was that man that brought you home last night. He was so handsome.’ Aliviah loved Sarah’s straightforward attitude and she wondered where she picked up that habit. A coy grin played at her lips, as she knew the answer. Gracefully Aliviah leaned her back against the wall next to an open window while Sarah leaned on her elbow on the open window, looking out over the grounds. “ Yes, He was handsome wasn’t he?” She replied back to the younger various of Aliviah. She let out a soft sigh and missed William already, wondering when the next time she would be able to see him next. ‘You two seemed …close’ Sarah gave Aliviah a smirk then giggled again as her eyes looked back out the window. Sarah was maybe 11 years old, but she was as sharp as a sword. Aliviah took her under her wing and enjoyed her conversions with the young girl. She felt like a bigger sister to her and hoped that her future wasn’t like her parents. Don’t get her wrong, her parents worked hard for their money and still held their head up. They were thought of like family friends but she wanted Sarah to do things that she wanted to do and not give up her dreams. “ I only hope we can get closer…” She mumbled as her mind went back to William ‘ You might get your wish sooner than you think’ Sarah giggled and looked back at Aliviah, arching an eyebrow at her. Then the girl’s dark eyes turning out the window and her finger pointed down to the courtyard. Quickly Aliviah pushed herself off the wall and placed a hand on the top of Sarah’s head while looking over her to see William removing himself from his horse. A gasp escaped her lips as she backed away from the window, her hand smoothing out her hair then reaching down to smooth out her silk gown. ‘You look fine, now go. He looks to be waiting for you Ali’ She giggled then watched as Aliviah rushed down the hall. It didn’t take long for Aliviah to rush down the stone step onto the lower level of her father estate, her gown flowing behind her as she jogged to the side entrance into the large courtyard. Out of nervous habit her hand reached up to check her hair that all fell to touch her shoulders. She hoped she looked ok because she wanted to impress William while she welcomed him. She stopped next to the rather large pond as her eyes landed on William, her heart felt as if it might leap from her ribcage. William! She was running to him, as graceful as ever while her gown still flowing behind. She forgot her father was standing there when she allowed her body to jump into William’s. Her thin arms wrapping tight around his neck as held onto him. “ I missed you so” She whispered into his neck before pulling herself away from him to stand next to her father. “ Forgive my intrusion father,…Sir Conner” She bowed her head in respect to William while fighting back a smile.

Aliviah let her eyes drop as she felt the heavy gaze of her father’s eye. She began to bite down on her lower to stop herself from smiling because she knew her father wasn’t a simple man, so she knew what he had to be thinking and he was right…for the most part. Finally she looking up only slightly through her dark lashes to look over at William, giving him a faint smile before her eyes jumped over to her father.
”Your intrusion was not what I would suspect from you...Then again....we won't be sending Sir William here away because of your exuberance.”
Aliviah nodded her head and returned the grin to her father, placing a hand softly on his arm. “Yes father” She wrapped her arm around her father’s as she stood next to him, his soft hand placing itself on her forearm before lightly patting it. Aliviah smiled up at the older man before looking back at William. “What brings you here Sir William?” She asked in a coy tone before grinning.
“Lord Connor, you came to call on Aliviah....I shall let you two alone and be on my way as I have business to attended to. Good day Sir Connor.....Aliviah”
She let go of her father arm and bowed her head lightly to her father, watching as he walks away from the two. “I won’t be long…” She called softly after him and saw him nod in reply. Once her father was out of site Aliviah allowed herself to walk over to William, and she took a hold of his hand while looking up at him with a soft smile. “I didn’t think I was going to see you any time soon…” She said before biting lightly on her lower lip.
”I may be mistaken...but I think your father may slightly approve of us being together...”
Aliviah walked by his side as she listened to him talking. As she walked, she strayed closer to him. She wanted to be close to him and she smiled as her shoulder touched his arm. His warm hand held tight to hers and she felt so wanted at that moment. She couldn’t explain it but she really liked William, that every time she is with him she felt so light and loved. She liked that feeling.
”I can't explain it...I can't explain how I feel about you so strongly the way I do...I only know that I do...I apologize if I am not making any sense...”
A smile spread across her pink lips as she listened to him, her fingers squeezing his hand ever so lightly to reassure him. Her thumb carefully rubbing against his as she looked up at him, still walking by his side. “Its ok William. I feel the same about you. Your so different from every other man I met before. Your kind, smart, sweet, thoughtful…I can keep going on but it would take all day.” She give him a soft smile and felt the burn in her cheeks.
”Are you hungry?...”
Aliviah chuckled softly and nodded. “Maybe a little. What do you have in mind?” She asked. She didn’t care where he went, as long as he took her with him. Right on cue her stomach let out a soft growl after William had asked. “Ok…maybe a lot.” She giggled.

“I'm not sure...but I do remember my brother telling me that the cook at the Werelight Inn is exceptional. So that if it is agreeable to you....”
Aliviah nodded softly at his question and hugged tighter to his arm while her hand was still trapped happily within his. She didn’t really go out much to eat with her family, so she would have to take William’s brother’s word for it. She wouldn’t mind… she was hungry enough to eat a cow so to speak. Carefully she placed her head softly on his arm, sighing softly to herself as she continued to walk beside him.
When they came into view of the Inn, her eyes took in the nice looking building and she felt her lips spread into a smile. It had a homey look to it and she liked that. It made her feel relaxed. Once inside, she followed in step with both the owner of the Inn and William as they lead the way to the back of the build and soon stopped at a table in the middle of the back room. Quickly she allowed her eyes to look around to see a few others sitting in the same room, but she didn’t pay them any mind after that as she took her seat that William offered her. “Thank you” Her voice was so soft it sounded like a faint whisper.
When the servant girl came to their table she couldn’t help but notice the annoying sparkle in her eyes as she kept her eyes on William the whole time. She felt her thin eyebrow twitch as her hands balled up in her lap, trying to control herself as she continued to watch the servant. Aliviah never felt this way before…what is this strange emotion? It was rage but with a painful string to it. She felt bad when she had an evil grin spread across her full lips when William basically blew her off after ordering a bottle of wine.
”I can't stop thinking about the other night ...I need to know something though...”
Aliviah kept a stink eye on the girl as she brought back their bottle and glasses before letting her face relax as she returning her gaze back to William. The warmth filled her heart again and that raw hurtful emotion faded as she looked into his eyes. She felt the burn in her cheeks as she listened to his voice, and she reached a hand over the table to take a hold of his, rubbing her thumb softly over the back of his hand. “I can’t stop thinking of you either, nor did I want to.” She offered him a sweet smile.
”I'm truly sorry about the intrusion. But there is a messenger here for you Lord Connor. He says it is urgent.”
Another voice caused her to turn her head, looking back at the owner as he stood next to their table. She blinked at his message and her eyes returned back to William in concern. “I hope everything is ok…” She offered softly, her hand slipping back to her lap as she release his. She watched as he stood from his seat and informed her it shouldn’t take to long. She was caught off guard slightly when he softly pressed his lips against her but she didn’t mind, her lips pressing back to his quickly before he left with the owner. She was left there and she leaned back against her chair, sighing.
Well…hello love
Confusion swept over Aliviah’s angelic features as another man took William’s seat and addressed her in such a way. Just as quickly, that confusion turned to disgust as she looked at the man. “That seat is taken sir…” She hissed through her teeth but in a respectable tone. Slowly she narrowed her eyes at the man, was he the one that called William away. For what purpose did he want to do that? To get close to Aliviah?
“Does such a beauty have a name?”
Aliviah felt the corner of her lip twitch in rage as he spoke with no respect towards her. He was looking at her as if she was a prize. She sat up slowly in her seat before moving to get up but without warning the man was up from his seat and in front of her before she stood straight. She let out a gasp as he pushed down on her shoulders to make her sit back down into the seat. She swallowed softly as she looked up at the man in fear as he over powered her. “…William” She mumbled in a pleading call for help.
“You don’t need him, I am all you need…
He answered her as he took a seat on the edge of table in front of her reaching out to caress her soft cheek with his rough hands. She turned her head away from his hand and grinded her teeth slightly. “Keep your hands away from him or so help me…” She was cut off when he grabbed at the side of her neck, pulling him closer to her. She gasped and the next thing she knew there was a loud crash and William was standing there while the man was on the ground. “William!” She stood to her feet and wrapped her arms around his frame tightly, her body shaking with fear. “Lets just go back to my estate and I’ll have Sarah and the others fix us something…” She begged softly, looking up at him.

William held her close to him and kissed the top of her head as her whole body shook. Nodding in agreement he led her out of the Inn after giving the Inn Keep a few more directives and handing him handful of coins in exchange for his extra help in the matter. He was sure to see to it that these men received their just rewards.
Wrapping his right arm around her, his hand throbbing, he pulled her close to him as they navigated through the busy streets back to the Quincey Castle, ”Well...I guess we'll just have to take my brother's word about the food....” he said, in an attempt to help calm her. He didn't know if they would ever go back there but he did know he would see to it that the two men team would be punished for what they had done or tried to do.
Squeezing her snuggly to him until they were nearly back to her families estate, William was glad to feel her more calm now. He leaned down to kiss the top of her head again. He let Aliviah lead the way since it was her home. That and the fact that she knew the way. Soon they found themselves in one of the smaller dinning rooms and he wondered if this was the setting that Aliviah preferred. It was a warm and peaceful dinning area with a sturdy oak table exquisitely carved, warm light bathing it from sun shining through the stain glass centered windows.
Aliviah's fear seemed to be completely washed away as she walked with William to sit at the table, after asking a girl to have some food and drink brought to them. The little girl gave a polite curtsy and bow and left, but not before sneaking in a glance to William with a very broad grin on her face which William took note of. He was surprised that Aliviah had left the order with one so young. It was a good surprise. It gave him a greater sight into who Aliviah was, whom he was loving more and more with everything he experienced with her. Although...he was beginning to worry about himself. It seemed he was drawn to problems. Not something he would want to make a habit of putting Aliviah through if it were true. First the trouble in the High Roads, then the kidnapping of Princess Hunter...and now todays event.
In the back of his mind he had heard her ask what he had been about to ask her back at the Inn. He smiled and tried to draw his mind away from it as he noticed he had not yet answered her, ”I'm sorry Aliviah...what I meant to ask you was...Do you want to be with me?” he said, and admittedly he realized immediately how young he sounded.
There were always so many questions in his mind. And the one that had dominated his mind since he had met and gotten to know Aliviah was she the women he wanted to share his life with. The answer always came the same, a firm and resounding 'Yes'. But before the words had left his mouth he knew what he was really asking. He only wondered if it would scare her, after all...they had only known each other an oh so short while. But the happiness he felt with her, the joy. It was too much to just leave it as they were right now. He wanted her in his life, and he hoped she wanted the same thing even it it seemed crazy and early.
Then he moved to take a knee beside her chair where she sat, “What I mean to ask is....Aliviah, will you marry me?”
His heart pounded in his ear and time seemed to stand still as she looked down at him. He looked up at her with hopeful and searching eyes...waiting, hoping, for the answer he wanted her to say.

Aliviah’s shaking frame fit perfectly into William’s arms as they walked together. She stayed close as they made their way out of the Inn, her head turning to look over her shoulder to see if the man some how managed to get up and tried to come after them. When they finally made it a few feet away, Aliviah turned to look out in front of her again, just in time to dodge an elderly woman with an arm full of potatoes. “Excuse me ma’am” She barely mumbled, hearing the woman speak hatefully under her breath. That was the lease of Aliviah’s problems at the present time.
“Well...I guess we'll just have to take my brother's word about the food....”
His voice naturally calmed her uneasy nervous as her body slowly eased it’s violate shakes. Letting her head tilt only slightly to look up at William’s face she gave him a warm side smile, snuggling into his side as she kept up with his pace, continuing on to her father estate. “Guess we are going to have to…” She gave another smile before a soft giggle escaped her lips.
It didn’t take them long to reach her home and once there she took a hold of his hand and lead him in the direction of the dining room. Upon arriving she called upon her young servant Sarah, who gave her a polite sly smile to Aliviah after taking William into her gaze. Watching as Sarah walked away she felt William’s gaze upon her face, causing her to slowly turned her attention back to him.
“I'm sorry Aliviah...what I meant to ask you was...Do you want to be with me?”
His question brought a light blush to her cheeks, her bright blue eyes meeting his and holding his gaze. Before she answer a warm smile spread across her pink lips, her hands folding on her lap. “…Of Course William, if I did not I wouldn’t be here with you now” She was playing coy with his question, giving another smile once she was finished speaking.
“What I mean to ask is....Aliviah, will you marry me?”
Her eyes followed his frame as he removed himself from his seat and stood by her chair before kneeling down beside her. She couldn’t help that her mouth fell open slightly at his action and when he finished his question a loud crash ring in her ears and her eyes jumped over to see Sarah bending down to clean the tray of food that she dropped in shocked to the scene. She jumped to her feet, walking over to help Sarah. “Are you already…” She asked Sarah, scanning the girl to see if she is hurt an any way.
“I am sorry my lady…but need not worry about me…do not leave the man hanging on a word...
” She nodded her head towards William and gave Aliviah a smirked before cleaning her mess and rushing off to the kitchen to prepare another meal. Slowly Aliviah made her way back to William, taking both his hands in hers. “ …William…” She paused, looking up into his eyes before nodding his head. “ Yes…yes I want to marry you William Connor” She wrapped her arms around him and buried herself into his chest.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

After giving William an answer she was pulled into his arm and she nuzzled her face into his chest. His warmth covered her tiny body and she felt complete. She felt his finger touch under her chin, lifting up her face to place a kiss on her lips, which she returned happily. The thought of being the wife of William Connor caused her stomach to flop around with excitement. As they broke the kiss Aliviah bright blue eyes looked into William’s and a smile spread across her lips. “I love you William…” She never said that to a man before in her life other than her brother Theoden.
Just then panic overtook her excitement at the thought of her older brother. He already had a problem with William…he would never agree to Aliviah marring him. Her shoulders then relaxed when she realized that it didn’t matter what his emotions were towards this, his agreement didn’t matter. Her father is the only person she was worried about.
”I love you Aliviah...though I must admit. I feared that you would be against this with it being so soon.”
Aliviah looked back up at William and shook her head. “Of course not William. I fell in love with you the moment my horse found you.” She smiled and thought back to the day they first met. Thanks to her horse for getting lost in the forest and finding his farm, almost knocking her off into the dirt in front of him. A warm sigh left her lips as she secretly thanked her horse, Rain. Her thoughts were retuned to the present when she felt William move a lock of her hair.
”Constable Quincey, I have something I need to talk with you about.”
When she heard her father coming into the room Aliviah slowly peeled herself from William’s arms. She looked down at her feet as she fiddles with her thumbs. “Father…” She addressed him with a bow of the head. Would he not approve? The thought worried her and her eyes jumped back to William who began to walk out of the room with her father after giving her hand a light kiss.
After they left the room, Aliviah took a seat back in her chair. From the corner of her eyes she saw Sarah and she gave the girl a smile. ‘I am really sorry for dropping the tray my lady” She lowered her head in shame and Ali cupped the girl face in her hands and lifted her head to look up at her. “It is ok Sarah. I was shocked at the question myself” She offered a smile. “If I had something in my hand I would have dropped it as well” She giggled.
After talked with Sarah for a bit she heard the men return into the room and Aliviah quickly got to her feet, Sarah moving into a corner not to be seen or heard. Her eyes looking over their faces to see if she could already find out the answer but both men held their emotions rather well, which slightly annoyed her at the present time. She then turned her eyes to her father when he spoke out first.
”It seems we have a good deal of planning to do.” Aliviah’s hand came up to move her mouth as she felt her heart stop, her eyes starting to water. She nodded to her father as a tear started to roll down her cheek and she felt Sarah’s hand on her arm in a way of trying to comfort her and in a way of showing how happy she was for Aliviah. She gave a light nod to Sarah and she returned to the kitchen and then she met William half way, falling into his arms again.
