She shouldn't have climbed that tree, she knew that. If she hadn't given in to her childish impulse, she would never have rested her hand on the rotten branch and would never have fallen all the way down to the forest floor. And if that hadn't happened, she woundn't have broken her left leg and arm, and she wouldn't be laying on the mossy floor of the dark forest seeing white spots and wondering what it felt like to die. As it was, she had been so agitated and so impatient that she couldn't wait to actually get out of the forest. Noooo, she'd just had to shimmy up the tallest tree that she could find in the immediate vicinity and climb all the way to the tippy-top to see just how far she had left to go. Well, now she'd have to deal with the concequences, and it was very probable that she wouldn't live to see the day her family was re-united. That was her only regret, that she would have to give up the search because of an accident encured via careless means. Well, that and that she never got to see what the Tyrant King looked like... Above, Jennifer was barely concious of Rollo pacing, his breath coming out in huge, sure strokes, explosive in comparision to Jenny's own quiet, careful breathing. Sorry, Rollo, she thought vaguely, so detached that it was more a mere hint of a thought. Sorry, Willie...
Notes: You may PP Rollo for the duration of this thread;

Seth trusted his senses. So on this dreary Sceithian day he followed said senses from his family Manor and into the forest. He smelled the blood and heard the two beings breathing before he saw them. A great grey wolf pacing almost anxiously near a red-headed youth, a girl his gift told him, who lay on the ground with at least two broken bones. He quickened his stride until he was stopped by the wolf's growl.
"Hey, calm down. I don't want to hurt anyone, I can help." He said calmingly, taking a closer look at the wolf.
"You aren't really what you seem to be, are you boy? Well, neither am I. What I am on the outside, this beast my family is cursed to be, it isn't me. I'm a healer." He continued, locking eyes with the wolf and willing him to see the truth. His words seemed to strike a chord within the creature and he stepped aside so Seth could go forward and examine the girl.

There was anger, there was violence, a faint wave of longing, the caution of the wind, and then there was a sharp, tangy feeling of desire to hold and protect. The feeling was out of place, Jenny felt within the muddled confines of her body. Where was Rollo? And then there was a faint, dull, entirely muffled sound, or rather sounds. It was out of place, just as everything else was. Where, and why? Who, and how? And then something brushed the skin of her earthly self, and the young girl groaned, a wan, tepid sound that barely made it out of the depths of her throat and past her dried lips. What!? her body seemed to scream. Why!? she wanted to yell. Who? her spirit cried. And yet there was nothing, nothing at all to save her from whatever fate was to be hers. Nothing, not even the wolf she cherished, nor the vengeance that drove her, nor the love she held close to her heart. There was no hope for her.
Note: wow...this is a little hectic ~ hopefully, it conveyed what she's thinking (or rather, what she's trying to think), and just how confused she is;

Seth knelt next to her and set to work, using his gift to aid him as he set the bones back in place with sure hands.
"She's gonna be alright boy. But she has a fever, I think maybe one of these cuts may be headed towards infection. So I'm going to pick her up and take her to my place. You can come along. Alright?" He explained as he splinted the now rapidly healing bones and lifted the girl into his arms. The wolf whined but allowed him to do so.
"This way." Seth said, turning and heading back to Blak land.

There was a sense of something beyond the ken of humanity, and then there was a sense of rest. There was fire, there was agony, and then something confining was latched onto her....leg, was it? And then she was aware of becoming air-born, of tree-limbs holding her balanced and safely in place. Slowly, ever so slowly, the young woman regained her sense of self, and the first thing she did when in semi-control of her faculties was groan in a question of who and what and how and why.

Seth carried the girl up to the door, which he managed to shoulder open without jostling her to much, and inside. He held the door open long enough for Rollo to follow through and then turned to be confronted by his sister and cousin.
"Seth, what are you doing?" Leah asked, eyeing the wolf suspiciously.
"What he always does, being a good-hearted idiot." Alex replied, studying the girl. The healing gift wasn't nearly as strong in the girls as it was in him, his father's legacy, but they were talented enough to know a patient in critical condition when they saw one.

"What he always does, being a good-hearted idiot." A voice said, and Jenny frowned? He? And who were the female voices? And where was she? Rollo! "Rollo," she groaned, and tried to move. Only, there was something blocking her momement. Something large and steady and rock-solid. Something that wasn't supposed to be there. "Whaa...?" She croaked, and tried to open her eyes. But they were so heavy, and it just seemed like too much effort to open them...

Seth quickly walked over to the main room, laying the girl on the cot situated there for just that purpose. The wolf, supposedly Rollo, came up and imeadiately sniffed her to check that she was fine.
"You're alright now, it's safe here." Seth said, letting instinct guide his words at the moment.
"But you need to rest, you took quite a fall there." He continued, his voice soft and reassuring. Alex and Leah came up behind him and stood a few feet back, having a whispered argument about something or other.

As Rollo sniffed her, Jenny felt a sort of calm settle on to her. She felt all warm and bundled up, kind of how it might be to once again reside within the womb of her mother. Safe, warm, floating in warmth, protected. That was how she felt. It was dimmer where she was now. Dimmer, and more secluded. A sanctuary, of sorts. It was nice and relaxed, and tranquil and inviting. And Jenny once again struggled to open her eyes, this time managing the barest of cracks to reveal dark shadowy forms..."Hel--" she tried to say 'hello', but her voice failed on her, which was odd considering that she hadn't damaged her throat at all.

"Shhh...Don't strain yourself. It was cold out there and you may have caught something. I'm a healer so you can trust me alright? Your wolf friend is alright too, so just relax and you should be fine in no time." He soothed. He stood then and turned to Rollo.
"Watch her, I need to speak with my family here." He explained, gesturing towards the two arguing young women.

"Watch her, I need to speak with my family here." the man said, and Jenny heard Rollo give a grunt in acknowledgement. And then she was being smothered with wolf-kisses. Suprisingly, the canine's breath didn't smell all that bad (no worse than some of the more hygenic people of the Hebrides) and actually had a sort of sweet scent to it. "Hey," she whispered, struggling to see the face of her companion through the narrow slits that were her eyes. She wanted to stroke his head, just because it was there, and she tried to move her limbs. But the appendages seemed to be only so much dead-weight, and she could almost make them twitch.

"What's wrong?" He asked his sister and cousin once he was close enough for them to hold a quiet conversation.
"What do you think you're doing Seth?" Leah hissed, glaring up at her little brother.
"She was hurt, what was I supposed to do? Leave her there?" He demanded, staring at them in disbelief. When they simply looked back at him disgust crossed his features.
"She could have died without my help, and I refuse to have more blood on my hands." He growled angrily.
"Seth, the people Jake hurts aren't your fault or responsibility. And we've already drawn enough attention to ourselves without bringing strangers into the house." Alex said calmly. Seth winced at the mention of his twin.

"Seth, the people Jake hurts aren't your fault or responsibility. And we've already drawn enough attention to ourselves without bringing strangers into the house." one of the female voices said, and Jenny felt a moment of great achievement. She knew the names of one of her rescuers/saviors/captors (she wasn't exactly sure why she was there, save that she was injured and they weren't). And what was Jake? "Jake?" Jenny asked.

"It's nothing you need to worry about." Seth told the girl over his shoulder, perhaps a little more curtly than he meant to be. But even the thought of his errant twin brought back a raw pain that made him short and snappish even with his family. He glared at the two young women then stalked back over to his patient.
"You just anren't going to rest are you? My name's Seth, I'm a healer. You got pretty hurt back there. What were you trying to do?" He explained, kneeling next to the cot and checking how the breaks were progressing.

The man snapped at her much like an older wolf might at the heels of a youngster worrying at their flanks - with irritation and curt authority, causing the young girl that was the object of his angry words to mentally shrink back (she really wasn't in a position to do so literally). But, Rollo did put himself between the others and herself, and his posture was of wary watchfulness. And then the man strode to where Jenny lay and knelt down while saying, "You just aren't going to rest are you? My name's Seth, I'm a healer. You got pretty hurt back there. What were you trying to do?" Jenny flushed slightly his statement, her cheeks going a flaming bright red that emotions tended to bring out, and when she answered his question, it was barely a mumble. "Climbing."
