Demy continued to smile shyly, still looking from Amri to Violet and wondering whether he, or should he say Demyth, knew them. He wondered what country they were even in now, but he decided he would ask after learning their names and getting to know them a bit. His hands fidgeted and played with his clothes, a nervous habit of his. If he was here now, then it meant that Demyth had been here before he'd come out. He couldn't help but wonder what sort of thing Demyth had said to them before he'd finally taken over. It really sucked, not being able to remember the sort of things Demyth did.
Then the woman stepped forward and started screaming at him. His smile fell from his face and he quickly backed off a few steps, flinching slightly as she screamed at him and holding his hands up, almost as though to ward her off, as though he was afraid she would attack him. "I-I'm s-sorry," He said, looking upset as he watched her. He didn't want her to be angry at him...he hadn't hit her, Demyth had. Unfortunately, people avoided him when they discovered that he had another, a darker counterpart, a second personality.
The man asked what was wrong with him then, and he gladly turned his attention back to Amri, letting his arms lower to his sides, though his gaze would continually flick back to Violet, obviously worried that she was going to try attack him. "There's nothing...wrong with me..." He said slowly, shaking his head slightly, still looking sad and even a little worried now. He supposed these people wouldn't want to be his friends, like he'd been hoping they would. He was glad when the man told the woman, Violet apparently her name was, to stop yelling at him, but still. It didn't really make him feel any happier. He hated when people were angry at him.
Hesitantly, he let a very small smile come back to his face, though he still looked a little bit worried. "My name is...Demy. Uhm...who are...you two?" He asked shyly, worried that the woman would be angry at him once more for some reason._________________________________________ Words: 390 Mood: Content Notes: Violet shouldn't really leave...maybe just storm off for a few minutes or something and then come back? Violet glared back up as Demyth jumped back. She had... scared...him? What the hell? He was definitely not the same person. His aplogy made her a bit more calm, but she wasn't going to forgive him, even if it was his alter ego that had struck her. All this confusion and drama was giving her a headache as she stood there holding in a lot of words that would probably scare this man more. She wasn't holding it in because of him though, she just wasn't about to start anything again. "Yeah, whatever." She huffed as she crossed her arms.
When Demyth said there was nothing wrong with him, she shook her head in disbelief. Oh, no, there was nothing wrong with him. That's why he changed personalities so quickly right? Or why one minute he was yelling at and threatening her and the next he was apologizing and being as shy as he could possibly be? Her head then snapped back at Amri as soon as he told her to stop. So he believed he was in charge of her? Well, he was most definitely deranged. He should know by now that he had no charge over her. What was wrong with these people? This whole situation was pissing her off. And the confusion was, annoying her to no end. She hated being confused. She wanted to know what was going on at all times and to have understanding of it.
Closing her eyes, she tried to calm herself down. At any moment she could bust, especially if any of her buttons were pushed. She probably should leave, like she wanted to do earlier, but never allowed herself to. No, this time there wouldn't be hesitation. She was going to leave, and no one was going to stop her. She opened her eyes once more to look at the man who had hit her. "I can't take this anymore. I'm sick of both of you and the more I hang around, the more I'm gonna get annoyed and I might not hold back anymore." So, with that, she let out a small huff before she stormed off, pushing roughly past Demyth. She was sick of the demands, and the stupid apology. Most of all, she was sick of the men and she was ready to go home, and do all she could to hide the mark on her face.
quick notes: so I wrote this out of all sickness lol... so if it's deranged or crazy in any way, feel free to either ignore it or let me know haha.

What was going on? If he wanted to be confused, he could just think about what came after five. Demyth was acting like a scared little boy. Was this the same man he had seen kill someone with one punch? He was all...shy and apologizing. Hadn't he just been implying that if it weren't for Amri, he would have killed Violet? He didn't seem the type to change his opinion that quickly...This not only affected him being a friend, but a comrade as well. How could he rely on someone who was, what was the word? Bipolar?
"Demy?" he questioned. Demyth didn't seem the type to go for cure little nicknames like that, hell, he himself hated them. Anyone who had ever called him 'Ami' was dead now. "I'm Amri..." he said clearly, softly, and with an obvious hint of confusion. Maybe he had suffered some head injury with him noticing...Amri quickly did a scan of the area to see if there was anyone who could've thrown a rock at his head, but as far as he could tell, there was only them. The list of possible problems was steadily growing thinner.
When Violet ripped away from him and said she was leaving, at first he didn't care, but then he remembered two things, the first being she hadn't been sworn into secrecy and he needed to do that, and the second was that maybe this was what had happened to him when he first met her. Sure, he'd been drunk, but maybe it had less to do with that and more to do with Violet! That was why she was trying to run away! So he jumped forward, brushing Demyth's...Demy's side with his own as he swung Banryuu off his shoulder and drove it into the ground just a little bit aways from Demy's feet as he grabbed Violet's shoulder. "You're not leaving yet," he said, "you have to bear with me."

Demy wasn't sure what he'd been hoping Violet would do or say...maybe forgive him- er, Demyth- but it became obvious when she looked up and glared at him that she wasn't about to do that. He was a little saddened by this, and he stayed quiet as she spoke, saying that she couldn't stand being around him- which meant the other man too, not only him, which made him a bit happier- and then she pushed roughly past him. He rubbed at his shoulder as she walked away, looking after her. It wasn't that it had hurt, it was just a sort of reflex for him, to rub at his shoulder after someone had pushed past him.
He turned his attention back to the man, forcing a small smile and nodding as he repeated his name- well, nickname- and said that his name was Amri. "Nice to meet you, Amri." He said, grinning brightly. Then the man walked forward, brushing past him, which made him grin and even blush the slightest bit. He looked at the ground in embarrassment, until he felt the man's giant sword get stuck in the ground behind him. He spun and stared at the sword, finally realizing how giant it was. He looked up as the man grabbed Violet's shoulder and said that she couldn't leave, blinking in surprise and staying back. He didn't know why the man wanted him to stay, but was pretty darn certain that the woman wasn't going to stay without a fight. Of course, he could be wrong, but she didn't strike him as the sort of person who would appreciate being told that she had to stay- around two men that she was tired of, none the less._________________________________________ Words: 306 Mood: Good, but a little hungry and tired Notes: Nada

Nope nothing was going to stop her. She was going to return home and hopefully forget all that happened. She would finally be away from the two of them right? Wrong! Violet barely got anywhere before Amri grabbed onto her once more. What was up with him? Couldn't he respect the fact that she wanted to leave, or was that too much to ask of him? Apparently it was, because it seemed that he wouldn't give up if she told him she was going to leave no matter what.
So, she turned and looked him straight in the eyes. Her face was straight, no anger or anything. "Yeah, you can let go of me." She stated firmly. She wasn't planning on running if he did, so he could simply let go. She then let out a sigh and crossed her arms. "So, why do I have to stay Amri?" She asked, not really caring about his answer. Maybe if he could give a good enough reason she would stay, but other than that, she was still convincing herself that she would, in fact, leave. "There is no reason for me to have to 'bear with you'." As it was obvious, she had no interest in hanging around with the two any longer.
Violet glanced past Amri to Demy as she awaited Amri's reply. He was just standing there. The only thing that he was doing different, was looking at Amri's sword. She was suddenly curious about what he was thinking. How much had his thought process changed? There was definitely a change in personality when he talked to them, but did his thoughts change much? She soon looked back to Amri with the same look on her face. The biggest question she had, which dealt nothing with Demy's change was, how much long would she have to stay there?

Amri drew in a long, angry sigh. What was it about her that just made him so angry and pushed all his buttons? She always seemed to know the exact wrong thing to say, the exact thing to get him riled up. It was the exact opposite of her, who had always been able to calm him down...just thinking about her released a wave of relaxation through him, though it wasn't enough to stop him from whatever he wanted to do. "No, 'Thanks, Amri, for not doing what he wanted you to do,' only, 'I hate you, I'm running away.' Sorry, but this time I haven't actually done anything."
Okay, maybe he hadn't jumped to her rescue when Demyth had started to irritate her, but he didn't think she would have expected that. He sure hoped she didn't cause at least Demyth was his friend, and he owed nothing to her. In fact, she still owed him for saving her life many, many times. He wasn't letting her run away after everything he had done. He wasn't letting either of them get away before he was through with them.
And, to be perfectly honest, since they had started, he had felt like the chaperone, which he would have been perfectly fine with in any other situation, but in one where he had to use his head like this...no, being a leader in a battle was a much different thing. He had to figure out what was wrong with...Demy, annd he didn't want to be left around. He felt odd from the way Demy smiled and looked at him. He lowered his voice and leaned closer to her, "I don't know what to do about him and you still haven't been sworn into secrecy." He tossed back a look at Demy, who was now looking at his sword, with total incomprehension on his face. "Nice to meet you too..."

Demy just continued to smile a little hesitantly, watching them and feeling a little confused. They weren't reacting like most people did after he suddenly switched personalities with Demyth, while he was harassing someone or whatever. Actually, Violet was, but Amri which not, which surprised him. Still, it gave him hope that maybe he'd actually make friends with Amri...which was something he really wanted. He seemed nice enough, and he wasn't yelling at him, not like Violet was. In fact, he'd told Violet to stop yelling at him, which he'd really appreciated. Not to mention that Amri was pretty attactive. His blue eyes were such a contrast to his slightly tanned skin, and his dark hair, tied back in a long braid...
He caught himself all but staring at Amri's back while his attention was on Violet, so he quickly tore his gaze away when he suddenly remembered the backpack he always had with him. It was a sort of unspoken deal between him and Demyth (since it was surprisingly hard for them to talk to each other, considering they shared the same body. They could speak in dreams sometimes, where they were portrayed as two different, yet identical people. Still, it didn't happen often, those dreams) Anyways, it was an unspoken deal that if Demyth always kept his backpack with the herbs in them with him at all times, then Demy wouldn't throw away whatever weapons he found on his person when they switched personalities. Remembering his herbs, he quickly shrugged off his backpack, his grin widening as he sat down on the ground and emptied the contents of the backpack on the ground before him.
Most of the herbs were dead by now, but he got to work separating the ones that could still be used with the ones that were useless, grin in place as he ignored Amri and Violet. He looked up suddenly, however, a small from on his face. "Hey, what country are we in?" He asked curiously, knowing that it would sound strange but finding no other way to be able to ask that question._________________________________________ Words: 365 Mood: Good but tired Notes: Nada

Violet rolled her eyes at Amri's words. He was trying to make her feel bad for not thanking him. It wasn't working, but she did, unfortunately, owe him a thank you. She did think that he would do it, and that was probably one of the worst accusations she had made in a long time. "Thank you Amri." She said almost in a whisper, looking away from him. She never thought she'd see the day where she said thank you to him, without being threatened. "And, I'm not running away. I just don't want to be here anymore."
She was about to step away when he got closer to her, but she realized all he was doing was whispering to her. So, she listened and then shook her head. "So you want me to bear the pain too?" She said almost jokingly. Wait? She was joking around with him. This day was just getting weirder and weirder. Oh well, what was done was done. "Fine, I'll stay Amri and secrecy? About her? If that's what you're talking about, I wasn't planning on telling anyone, and I won't."
Violet looked over at the man who was now sitting on the ground. Maybe she should explain this to Amri. He obviously didn't know what was going on with him. So, she met his eyes once more. "Okay, so you can obviously see that, something is wrong with him." She started placing her hands on her hips. This wasn't to be mistaken for the snobbish jesture. "He has an alter ego, otherwise known as split personalities. This is a psychological disease where you have two different personalities and you can't control which one you are. It's like two different people, living in one body." Her face took a form of sympathy for Demy. She probably couldn't live with something like that. "If he has more than one other personality, he has multiple personalities. Are you understanding everything I'm telling you?"
When she looked back over to Demy, she noticed the herbs he was taking out of his bookbag and a smile took to her face. Without warning she walked past Amri and back over to Demy. She had always been interested in learning. No one in her family knew that though. Not even Pearl. A lot of her siblings and cousins, didn't care much for knowledge. Well, herbs was one of the things she did know about, but she could probably improve in that area still.
She sat down in front of Demy and his herbs, still smiling slightly, but now at him. "You're good with herbs?" Her tone of hatred was long gone now, and she spoke, oddly gentle. Nice. That's how she usually gets when she wants to learn. She looked over to Amri, and waved for him to come to them. "Do you mind teaching me what you know?" She asked, her eyes back on the man in front of her.

Bear the pain? He wasn't feeling any pain, just a feeling of being disturbed since he could feel Demy's eyes on his back. It was just the slightest bit uncomfortable. He could hear the tone of playfulness in her voice, but she probably wasn't actually joking. She didn't joke with him. It wouldn't make sense. At least she said thank you, but as she said it, it felt weird. However, he was relieved when she said she wouldn't tell anyone. He couldn't stand the thought of her gossiping about it with the other princesses or whatever they did all day.
He just listened as she explained to him about split personalities...surprisingly, it made a lot of sense, so he nodded. Sometimes it felt like he had more than one personality, though his supposed Demyth had it more extremely. Now what was he supposed to do with it? If he couldn't control who he was...how could he be a fighter? It really all depended on what Demy was like...and so far he seemed shy and unconfident, and just a little bit odd. What was he getting himself into by dealing with this guy?
"She had a name, you know," he growled slightly as she walked past him to sit by Demy. He turned around towards them, glaring for no apparent reason when she asked him to teach her about herbs, acting as if nothing was weird. But...he'd just have to deal, so he walked over and sat down, arms crossed over his chest. "Not that you deserve to know it..." he muttered, though it would be loud enough for her. Perhaps it'd be better to just ignore her, even though he had asked her to stay. "We're in Saor, Demy," he added, answering his question.

They seemed to think that Demy couldn't hear them. It wasn't like they were trying to be all that quiet, and he wasn't sitting that far away from them, either. Still, he kept his head down and tried not to eavesdrop, trying to give the herbs before him his undivided attention. However, it was hard, especially when he knew that they were talking about him. It made him feel a little sad, but as he kept his head lowered, his dirty blonde hair cast his face into shadows and made it impossible to see that he didn't look at all happy. It was a pain to deal with him? And there was nothing...wrong with him. In fact, he was nicer then Demyth. If anything, there was something...right with him.
Still, he looked up as Violet walked towards him, flinching backwards slightly as she sat down, looking worried that she was about to yell at him once again. When she didn't, and instead smiled at him, he blinked in surprise and forced a small, hesitant smile onto his own face, his gaze going from her to Amri, still looking unsure. Then she asked if he knew about herbs, and a more natural smile came to his face as he nodded. "I try to...I like to go around healing people." He said, a smile of content on his face as he said this. Then she asked if he could teach her, and he smiled and nodded, looking slightly more at ease as he realized that she wasn't about to yell at him again. He glanced at Amri as he told him that they were in Saor, looking slightly thoughtful for a moment, wondering why Demyth had been here. He decided to voice his question, though it made him feel a little awkward.
"Do either of you know why...Demyth would come here? We were in Sceith last." He said, before looking down at the dead herb that he had in his hand and holding it up for them to see, though when he spoke it was mostly to Violet, figuring someone like Amri wouldn't care. "This is Feverfew," He said, looking down at the small brown leaves. "They'd be green, but this is dead. They help with chills or fevers, and the patient would just have to eat them." He said before tossing the small leaves away. He reached into his bag, pulling out another handful of leaves, looking down at them and moving them apart to get a better look. "This one is a Marigold leaf, this one is Aloe Vera, and this one is a Juniper berry." He said, holding them out to her and pointing to each in turn. "Marigold leaves prevent infections on wounds, but they have to be crushed into a pulp." He said, and stuff the leaf back into his bag, because it wasn't dead. "For Aloe Vera leaves, the gel inside of them can be used to treat burns and bug bites." He said. The leaf was dead, but still he crushed it in his more-then-capable fist, and as he opened his hand once more, there was indeed a sort of white gel coming from the now crushed leaf. He wiped his hand on the grass before moving to the last one. "Juniper berries are used to heal coughs and bellyaches. Not to be mistaken with other, poisonous berries, though." He said, before tossing the slightly wrinkled berry away and looking up. Of course, he had more he could teach her, he was checking to make sure she was still interested, and to see whether Amri was bored yet._________________________________________ Words: 639 Mood: Tired Notes: The herbs are made up, just go with it, and Amri would be best not to tell Demy that they're going around causing havoc; Demy would run away from him. "Yeah well, you didn't tell me her name." Violet said, still paying attention to Demy and the herbs. She didn't know why he would bring that up. It was kind of obvious that she wouldn't know it, and she really didn't care. Of course she felt bad for Amri because that happened to him, but her name wouldn't change anything in the story, so she simply didn't need it. And, when he told her that she didn't deserve to know it, she just rolled her eyes. Her attention was not grabbed by him anymore. Now Demy interested her, and her thirst to know more about herbs.
She smiled once more at the man in front of her when he mentioned healing people. For once, she met someone who wasn't living to kill. "That's awesome Demy." She said, her voice cheerful. "Too bad Demyth couldn't be like that too." To her, and probably to Demy, it sucked that he had to have an alter ego that actually killed people. He probably felt guilty for the things Demyth did and that was horrible to have that weight on you. Amri probably hated what she was saying. He was most likely the opposite. He wanted Demy to be more like Demyth, because of the fact that, if Demy ever showed during a fight, he wouldn't kill anyone.
Violet listened intently as Demy explained the different herbs to her. With each one she made notes in her head to remember, in case she needed it. The whole time he talked, her smile stayed in place. She was happy, because she was learning, but she was also in a good mood, because no one was fighting. The only one who was probably not enjoying themself was Amri, but he was never truly happy. At least not around her. She put him in a bad mood and he did the same to her, most of the time. She noticed Demy's look, and she nodded, letting him know he could go on. "Thank you, Demy." She stated, before he began again. For some reason, it wasn't weird to say it to him. Maybe it was his personality. "I was mean to you, because of Demyth, and I shouldn't have been. Yet, you teach me. So, yes, thank you."

Amri sighed, "I don't know why you were here...probably to cause some chaos or look for me." He didn't know why Demyth would be looking for him, or why he'd look in Saor, but those were the only two possibilities he could come up with. Amri himself was in Saor, but that was because he didn't think they'd have rose tea for sale in Sceith, and he doubted that Demyth would be here for the same reason. Of course, he didn't know, after all, most people wouldn't believe him if he told them his reason for being here.
God...leaves, leaves, leaves, who cared about leaves? He had used leaves twice in his life, when Violet had forced him and, as he had been told, when he had been stabbed in the side that one time, but he didn't remember much from then, for that had been when he had been working on building his pain threshold. It had been hours before he had let anyone even take it out, hours in which he had been fighting. But it definitely was worth it, he'd gotten quite a nice sum for that job.
Speaking of which, Violet still had that red mark, right? He remembered thinking leaves were to people like polish was to Banryuu. "You should put Violet polish on that," he said, touching her cheek just barely before turning to Demy. He didn't feel like having the Scoalite army being sent after him quite yet, so maybe Demy could be of some use. Sure, Amri knew flowers, but only their hidden meanings, not what they did. "Have anything for that?" he asked softly, motioning towards Violet with a thumb before leaning over to peer at the plants he had. Hmmm, maybe the meanings of flowers had something to do with what they did...so...mint? Yarrow?

Demy's smile brightened as Violet told him that it was awesome he wanted to heal people, and said that it was too bad Demyth wasn't like that too. He and Demyth were complete polar opposites. While he wanted to help people, Demyth just wanted to hurt them. Half the reason why healing was so important because he had no idea how many people Demyth had hurt and killed. He wanted to stay above Demyth, saving more people then Demyth was able to kill. Doing that was hard, though, because Demyth was stronger then him. He was always out for longer then he was. While he, Demy, was usually out and in control for about a week...Demyth was usually out and in control for two weeks. It made it much harder for him to keep ahead of Demyth. In fact, he was certain that he was losing so far.
"Yes...it is." He said sadly, feeling less nervous around Violet now. He grinned brightly as Violet apologized to him for being mean, shaking his head. "It's okay. I'm sorry I...Demyth hit you." He said seriously, eying the mark on her cheek. It looked painful. He nodded at Amri as he told him why he figured Demyth was here...to cause havoc, of course. He wasn't sure why Demyth would want to find Amri, but he decided he would ask him later. His eyes lingered momentarily on Amri, just looking at his eyes for a moment until Amri said that he should put some...'Violet polish' on her wound. He gave Amri a confused look for a moment, trying to ignore how Amri's hand lingered on her cheek...feeling just the slightest stab of jealousy, though it was well hidden behind his smile.
"Oh..." He said finally as he understood what Amri meant, a frown of concentration coming to his face as he wondered whether he did had anything for the mark on her cheek. It wasn't an actual wound, so there wouldn't be much he could use on her cheek...Yarrow ointment, would that work? It was used to sooth the pain of cuts and scrapes, but could it also work on something that would cause a bruise? He grinned and opened his bag, looking around. He wasn't even sure if he had any Yarrow with him, though. Just when he was losing hope, thinking that he had nothing, he found it and pulled it out, a bright grin on his face which faded slightly as he saw the condition the leaf was it. It wasn't completely dead, but it was definitely getting there. He wasn't sure if it would still work, but he figured he might as well try. "Yarrow might work...it's used to stop the pain and heal cuts and scrapes, but I think it might work on bruises, too." He said. He crushed the leaf in his fist repeatedly, until what was left could be considered sort of an ointment.
"Of course, you won't want to keep this on for too long...it might look a little strange...but it should help it, even if it isn't on for very long." He said, leaning closer to Violet, peering at the mark on her cheek. He knew she wouldn't want much on, so using his index finger, he got a bit of the ointment stuff on his hand and gently rubbed it lightly over her cheek where it was the most red and likely to leave a bruise._________________________________________ Words: 610 Mood: Good Notes: Nada

Everytime Demy's smile grew brighter, so did Violet's. For some odd reason, he made her feel good. He made her feel like she had done nothing wrong in the world. Demy was like a little kid in a weird sort of way and when he accepted her apology, she was even more happy. The fact that he apologized made her frown slightly though. "No, you don't need to apologize for him. He's an ass and you had nothing to do with it." She realized after she had said it, that she was talking about a part of him. Maybe he wouldn't care. He wasn't oblivious to the fact that his alter ego was an ass. Should she apologize? Maybe if he got upset about it, she would, but for now, she would pretend she had never said it.
When Amri touched her cheek lightly, she flinched a bit. She was not expecting him to touch her. But, soon enough, she was laughing. Violet Polish? That was not expected either. "I'm not a sword Amri." She joked as she let her gaze fall upon Amri, and for once, he was the one she was actually smiling at. Never had they been able to just sit around, acting friendly. It was weird, but at the same time, it felt nice. They weren't fighting at all, and truthfully, it was probably because of Demy. His personality was.. nice. He was happy most of the time too, which helped a lot.
Violet turned her gaze back to Demy as he searched for something to help her cheek. "Don't worry about it." She started to say, when he pulled an herb out of his bag. She didn't want him to help her, neither did she want Amri to, but since he found it, she wasn't going to refuse. She sat still, and let Demy apply some of the gel to her cheek. It felt weird, having someone help her like that. She was always one who wanted no ones help. She wanted to be able to take care of herself.

Amri frowned just the slightest bit when she said she wasn't a sword, thinking she was making fun of him. But...he also didn't see that in her smile...it was weird, so he just shuffled his rear end on the ground slightly and quickly turned the other way, wishing Banryuu was right by him instead of stuck in the ground a few feet away so he could fiddle with it, that would give him something to do or at least pretend to do. He wanted to get up and pace but that would be a dead giveaway that he was restless.
But ha! He knew it would be yarrow! He had remembered that yarrow meant healing. It was a little mini-victory in his head, of which there was really no need for, for he had plenty of victories outside his head. A self-satisfied smirk that was different from his usual 'I'm-going-to-eat-you,' smirk came onto his face. It was less scary, but possibly more irritating if you knew him well, not that he let either of the others know he was pleased with himself, since they wouldn't know why.
But now what should he do? Demy had managed to do something for Violet's cheek and that was good and all, but he wasn't sure whether he had to babysit more or if he should just leave. After all, now he could trust them to not kill each other and all the talk about herbs and making people better and stuff was boring him to bits. It was good that Demy and Demyth couldn't meet otherwise he was sure the former would be dead by now. He decided to stand up to fetch Banryuu out of the ground. Man, all the sticking in the ground...he'd have to wash the purple covering that went over it.
