Sounds like out scientists could solve the oil problem by getting to work on those hybrid cars, but noooo, our lovely oil companies want to sell us all oil and make tons-o money. It comes down to greed. It's a nice, friendly country we live in isn't it? JK. *moves to Scotland* *rural, remote Scotland*.

Pip, everything you just said points you in a democrat direction. You obviously want change, and McCain is not going to provide that. I don't get your reasoning, you're just confusing me more.

Because I'm not a government person, I do want change, but I don't want to pay my weight in gold to taxes for programs which don't even make sense.

Yeah, its the rupblican government doing that. It's Bush who's cutting taxes for the rich. You're basically saying, "I want change, but I'm going to support the person who has the least probability of providing that."

My father says that people that run the country all own oil companies. I believe this is true due to the fact that the country isn't too keen on hybrid cars.

its very simple, nearly all forms of the american government are useless, they take over the world, and here is a song i found that fits the Republican and religious insipired parties perfectly
Crawling in the slime Dirt infested minds Always second best, leader of the rats Spreading their disease
Hiding behind trivial cynicism Venomous tongues spitting forth lies So quick to criticize the life of others Who are you to judge us
On a higher plain Our art lives on forever You are the scum beneath us Fighting your pathetic battle
Anonymous animosity Dirt infested minds
You hide behind trivial cynicism Venomous tongues spitting forth lies So quick to criticize the life of others Who are you to judge us
Laughing right into your face As we watch your infantile behaviour Love us or hate us - we don't care We never aimed to please you
Anonymous animosity Dirt infested minds Anonymous animosity Spreading their disease
Always second best

(trying to re-ignite the thread)
Well we really should not let anybody religious into office. Mccain is crazy and wants to arrest gays

Wow, that's biased. "Let's not let anyone religious in"? wow, helpful Deimos...and how do we know you're not just making this up? Besides, no president could legally do that. That would make him a tyrant.

The point is Deimos. No matter what a person's personal opinions are, they can't pass a law against anything with the consent of Congress, The House of Reps, and if it's contended the Judicial System. That's the way the Government's set up.

Sure it's complicated. But it also makes it extremely hard for anyone to take over without killing close to two hundred people. And then he'd have a half-planned, mob-like revolt by the spoiled American people on his hands...

Deimos, our government isn't that good either, we have a precendental system so if we get one crazy judge who starts giving criminals not guilty then other crims can use that as precedent and get off to.
