The image still clouded her mind at times, no matter how hard she tried to push it away. Her family, and everyone else in the castle, knew that something was wrong. She was asked plenty of times what was wrong, but of course all she told them was nothing was wrong and if there was something wrong, it was none of their d*** business. The only person who didn't hear that sentence were her parents, because she wouldn't say that to them.
Violet walked through the woods, touching trees that were in her reach as she passed. Had what happened that night, changed her at all? She didn't think so, but she didn't know. She still had thoughts about what happened, and it didn't help that at times she had nightmares.
She pulled the hood of her cloak off of her head as she let her blonde curls bounce around her head. She rested her back against a tree, looking down at the ground as she did so. She slightly shook her head to make the thoughts go away. She needed to be happy, not some upset princess that was letting thoughts take over her mind. She was smarter than that and sooner or later, she would find a way to make those thoughts disappear.
She crossed her arms over her chest and moved her gaze to the sky. It started to darken a bit, and she frowned. "Great", she thought, "you just want to set the mood don't you." She couldn't believe it as it started to rain. "Damnit!" She cursed, angry at the world. Angry at everything. She pulled her hood back over her head as she looked in the direction of where she came from. She should probably go home, instead of stay in the woods and grow wet, and most likely, cold.

Amri was mad at himself, which was both a rare and regular thing to see. It was ever since that night he woke up with the most killer hangover ever. He didn't remember what had happened that night, but he hadn't woken up in the pub, which met he must not have behaved well. Since it had taken him nearly a day just to recover from the after-effects of drinking maybe five kegs worth of alcohol, he had decided he should take a break from heavy drinking for awhile. But, before long, he was longing for the taste again, while the other, more sensible part of him was trying to stay away, which was why he was now walking a place where he hoped to not be tempted by liquor, a place that was a bit separate.
The great halberd Banryuu was resting on his shoulder, and that he was thankful for. One time after a night of 'fun' he had woken to find it gone and had had to track down the person who had stolen it and kill him. It had been rather pathetic, seeing as the man had needed two big strong horses to just pull it along the ground. Bankotsu had 'thanked' his curiosity by letting him get up close and personal with his blade...right around the neck area. Amri smirked as he remembered that, no one got between him and his sword.
He looked up at the sky, and right as he did so, a drop of rain fell on he forehead and he cursed the rain that was beginning to fall. He was used to the extreme hot of the Arabian desert, not this place where it rained almost everyday. It annoyed him as it soaked through his hair. He shook his head to send drops flying from his bangs, but it didn't really do anything since more rain poured down. Now his previous anger was expanded, and he knew he should find some sort of shelter soon. The sheathe over Banryuu was cloth, and he did not want his blade to rust.

Violet cursed to herself as the rain started to come down harder. She glared up at the sky and then turned to leave. She thought that now was the right time to go home. She would probably get sick, if she stayed any longer. She really didn't want to leave just yet. It was her time alone. No maids or servants, not that she didn't love the service, but no one was pestering her at the moment, and then the rain came and ruined it.
She picked up her pace to a run as she made her way towards her home, holding her dress up so it didn't become dirty from the now soggy ground. Her hood falling off her head to leave her curls bouncing as she ran. She didn't care at that moment that her hood was not protecting her head, she just had one mission, and that was to return home to get out of this rain.
As she took a turn in the path, she noticed a figure coming towards her. She couldn't really see, for the rain was falling in her face, keeping her from seeing clearly. All she knew was that she needed to stop, but unfortunately as she tried to she slipped and ran right into the person, falling hard into the mud beneath her. The person was hard and she rubbed her head as she looked up.
Wait? She thought as she realized the figure looked familiar. The huge sword, the long black hair. "Amri?" She questioned looking up at him. She slowly stood, mud dripping off of her. She tried her best to wipe it off, but it still stained her dress. Then as quickly as that just happened, the image hit her again, but this time she felt the fear that she had felt when it actually happened. That boy was standing right in front of her, and she was still scared of him. She thought that she would be over it by now, at least being around him, but she was wrong.
Violet tried to calm herself as she took heavy breaths. She clung to her dress that lay over her chest. It hurt to feel that it was hard to breath. She shook her head and slightly gasped as she drew in more air, slightly calmed now, but not fully. It was, after all, easier to calm down now that it had been a while since it happened. She didn't know why she let it get to her like that. "I'm sorry, it still bothers me." She said taking one step back. "You know? What you did?"

He was just trying to find some place to get out of the rain when, pmmf! Something ran head on into him. Of course, him being a very solid person with a chest like a rock, the person, whoever they were, bounced right off him again like rubber. It didn't even make him wobbly in the slightest. However, it still did annoy him, especially when he saw the person on the ground was a girl. Now she was in his way on the path. He sneered at her, and was about to kick her or something when she said his name. What the hell? How did she know who he was?
Then is looked like she was scared out of her mind, that he couldn't blame her for. It wasn't everyday that you ran into a guy who had a sword larger than himself. Well, if she was that freaked out, perhaps he would let her go unscathed, though it still unsettled him that she knew his name, or perhaps he had just become more famous than he thought he was. After all, how many people in the world had all of features? The sword, the braid, and the unusual armor and way of dressing. Then she said something else that made even less sense. What was she apologizing for...cause she wasn't saying sorry for running into him...wait, what had he done?
"Excuse me?" he asked, swinging his Banryuu down from his shoulder and holding it out to the side, "Stop pretending to know me, you idiotic wench." Only coldness was in his eyes, though there was a slight hint of confusion. This girl sure was strange, but then again, girls often acted strange around him. He shuddered as he remembered a few of the desperate ones.

Violet raised an eyebrow at the boy standing in front of her. He looked at her, as if she had done something horribly wrong to him. She thought that he was the one that did something wrong, not her? Her gaze moved to his sword and then back to him. That thing still did make her uneasy and putting the two together just scared her to death.
He was confusing her, as he stood there, acting so much different, than the boy she had met at the pub. He must have been really drunk, because she could hardly recognize him. His facial emotions were hard, and somewhat evil looking to her. That little kid he pretended to be was gone.
She took another step back as he spoke, and all she was locked on was his eyes looking at her coldly. Then, she looked confused and slightly angry as he spoke to her with a tone, that not only scared her, but confused her to no end. "What?" She asked, anger showing slightly in her voice. "You know who I am. How could you not remember?"
Violet looked away from him. Was he serious? He certainly sounded serious. She wondered if she should attempt to run, or maybe call for help, or both possibly. She didn't know if anything would help right now. She just didn't understand why he didn't remember her. Everything that happened should still be there in his memories, unless he has some type of memory loss, which she didn't think was the case. She looked once more at his sword. She just wanted it to disappear. It was the one thing that, along with the boy, haunted her nightmares and made her scared.
Now, she usually didn't let things scare her. She would usually make fun of it, or stand up to the person, but after seeing what she did, it had its toll on her. She then knew that she had to leave. She shook her head. "Whatever, just... get out of my way." She stated firmly, grasping any bit of courage she could to say that to him.

Amri raised his eyebrows when she asked how he could forgot her. In truth, he also wondered. He would probably remember if he had met someone like her...so he came to the conclusion that she was making it up just to get close to him...he shuddered, or, by some small chance, that she knew something he didn't. After all, she had known his name, and his wasn't a very common name, even where he came from. But maybe he was just over-analyzing, perhaps she had just heard his name while he was fighting someone, it didn't mean that she was telling the truth.
Then she told him to get out of her way, and that just made him plain pissed. Who did she think she was to order him around? Didn't she see that he could break her with one hand if he felt like it? Or did she think that he carried around a big ass sword to shade himself? Yes, that made so much sense. And he wore armor because he was a professional hugger who needed protection because he hugged people so hard. That's why his muscles were so lean and developed, he was the number one champion as the hugging championships, and not for no reason. He sarcastically laughed at his own thoughts.
One thing was certain, he was not done with this girl, and she would not get away. Angered that she thought he would just let her pass, he grabbed her arm and held it above her head, "You're not leaving until you tell me exactly what you're talking about," he demanded coldly of her. In that moment, as he looked into her blue eyes, he did...remember something, but was it remembering? Or was his mind just making things up? He remembered her giving him a stern look...on the floor...but, it probably hadn't been her. He had seen plenty of blondes in his lifetime.

Violet crossed her arms when he didn't move. She could just go around him, but then again, he probably would just move into her way. How could someone, not remember something like what happened that night? She was so confused and many thoughts and feelings were running through her. She was not only confused, but angry, and a bit scared, which she was trying not to show.
When he grabbed her arm, she shot a glare at him and jerked away. "Don't touch me!" She yelled. "You have no right to touch me!" And out of impulse she stepped closer to him and kind of got in his face. She had realized what she had done, once she had done it, but it was too late now, so she stood there, still glaring at him.
"And even though I do know something, you're not going to find out, unless you do it on your own." She said coldly pausing for a moment. "If you can't remember, then that's your own d*** fault." She gave him a small smirk before she decided to move around him like she thought to do before, but thought it was a bad idea.
What if she had pushed too hard and he decided to kill her like he did that man? Her fear just rose in every step she made. She had the feeling he wasn't going to let her leave, but she had to make a stand, instead of letting this guy walk all over her. She never let anyone do that to her, not ever and not now, no matter how much it scared her.

Amri furrowed his eyebrows. He did seem to vaguely remember her...only it was all blurry, and hazed at the edges. He still wasn't very sure if it was her, but the more he looked at her the more little scenes popped up...or was it just coincidence that that was happening now? What he couldn't get was when this had happened. None of the little flashes really showed him where he was, and none of them showed the date in the corner, and even if by some chance it had, he wouldn't have been able to read it. This was just too odd.
He sneered at her when she told him not to touch her, "I have every right to touch whoever I d*** feel like whenever I d*** want. It's called the right of who's bigger and stronger." Who was she to think she could order him around? No one ever treated him like this, the Tyrant King himself had spoken to him with respect. Or was she one of those stupid girls who thought that having a pretty face would get them anything they wanted? Well, some men, like him, were not weak, and he didn't care what anyone looked like if they talked down to him.
When she tried to get past him again, the anger he had kept inside himself just seemed to explode. It was raining, and he hadn't had anything to drink for days, he was not in his best of moods anyway. "Did I say you could leave?" Furious, he put out his hand that was not wielding Banryuu and shoved her backwards. He needed to find out what she was walking about, he hated it when others knew something about him that he himself didn't. It was a weakness in his eyes. "When was this?" he asked.

Once again he sneered and she just glared. This was getting quite annoying to her. All she wanted to do was go home. Was that a bad thing? No.. no it wasn't, but apparently it was in his eyes. Right now she hated him. Before she was afraid of him, and she still was, but she never hated him. Now she did, and she would do anything to get away from him.
Listening to his words she looked at him coldly. "You are sadly mistaking, Amri Ban Amatzya!" She shouted. Yes, she used his full name. She new it would come in handy later, but of course when she first met him she only wanted his first. Now that she used his full name, maybe it would show him that she truly knew him, but she still didn't care if anything resolved between them, because right now, she was full of hate for him. "And just to let you know," She continuted still yelling, "I don't care if you're bigger or stronger than me! I'm not going to stand here and let you touch me and treat me like some piece of trash!"
Then he shoved her backwords and that just blew it. He pushed every single button that she had. "No you didn't say I could leave, but let me make one thing clear," She said pointing and still glaring, "I do not take orders from the likes of you, and I most certainly do not need your permission to leave! This is my territory, not yours."
Violet took a step back from him. Her face showed the anger that came from her. She wasn't going to hide it, no matter how afraid he made her. "Like I said before, figure it out for yourself." She stated firmly and still cold. "The way you are treating me, deserves no answer from these lips." She just wanted to leave, so once again, she tryed to make her way around him.

All anger dropped from his face as he looked at her in complete surprise. No one ever spoke to him like that, not in his entire life. To be quite honest, he wasn't really sure what to do. He had already threatened her verbally and physically, and he wasn't going to kill her, as he never liked bullying those who were obviously weaker than him unless he really needed to, but it wasn't like he could actually force her to tell him anything. He was in complete and utter shock.
"You know my middle name?" The question was more directed to himself than to her. When would he ever tell someone his middle name? He never introduced himself Amri Ban Amatzya. He usually never even told anyone his name, they just knew him as 'The Mercenary.' He tried to come up with a reason he would ever tell anyone his middle name. It wasn't really a secret, but he just didn't get why he would ever say that to a girl like her. She was definitely different from other girls he had met, but something just didn't add up. Then it hit him.
He'd been drunk.
He had just suffered the worst hangover in his whole life.
He'd been really drunk.
His eyes widened with horror. What had he done? What he she done? He had only assumed that he had spent that whole night picking fights, which was why he thought he'd been tossed out, but the way she had acted when she first saw him...it hadn't been hate, in fact, it had been the weirdest response to him that he had ever had. He let out a long, hard breath, "Was I drunk?" Without even knowing what he was doing or why he was doing it, Banryuu clattered to the ground. The earth shook, but he still kept staring straight ahead. "Dammit."

Violet stopped before she was fully past him when she noticed something had changed in his facial emotions. She raised an eyebrow and backed up a bit. Now she was more confused than she was before. She studied his face, looking for any clue. He looked more surprised than anything. What had she done that made him do that? Her anger was just taken over by confusion.
She didn't know if she should answer his question when he asked it. "Yes." She said simply with a hint of firmness still left in her voice. She moved back some more so she was in front of him again as she still studied his face. She was wondering what he might do next. Was he just acting to get her to stay? Should she stay? Probably not, because she was soaked now and cold, but she decided to, just to see what would happen.
When his eyes widened she took one more step backwords. He looked... terrified. It was weird to her that he would look that way. She nodded to him when he had asked her if he was drunk. She let out a sigh, and once again crossed her arms. "Yes, as a matter of fact you were. Really drunk if I must say so myself." She had calmed down slightly, but her guard was still up.
His sword suddenly hit the ground, and she could feel the shaking. She looked down at the sword wide eyed. How does he carry that thing? She asked herself, before she looked back up at him. "Umm Amri, are you alright?" She asked realizing it was the same thing she asked him last night when he freaked out and hid behind the stool and his sword. She wasn't as concerned about him now though, as she was that night. She was just curious, because he wasn't acting right, or it was more that he wasn't acting the same he was just a couple minutes ago.

Right now, a normal person would be swearing to never drink again. A normal person would forgive her for being confused, as was her right, and calmly make sure that they hadn't done anything too out of line while they had been drunk. However, this was Amri, so disregard those two sentences, he was not normal under any circumstances, and he already knew that even if he tried to give up drinking we would not succeed. If you started at a young age. it just wasn't something that was going to stop. But he was still feeling the feelings that would cause most people to try and quit, the regret and the hatred for himself for losing complete control. He must have gotten totally hammered for normally he could remember what had happened better, which meant that he could assume the worst had happened. There was really only one word to describe how Amri was feeling right now.
"f***," he muttered. He felt like sitting down right now, but he knew just how utterly ridiculous it would be for him to sit on the ground in the rain. Plus, it was very muddy, and there was a downside to wearing a hakama that was mostly white, unless of course he felt like looking like he'd crapped himself the rest of the afternoon, which, he had to admit, was one of the few looks that did not compliment him in some way. Pretty much everything else looked fine though, even the rain that was dampening his hair and tinkling on the shoulder plate that was white with blue ferns. Thunder rolled right above him right then...how perfect.
Now he was thinking, or at least trying to think of what he should do, what could he do? Did he even have to do anything? He stilled wanted to know what he had acted like when he was drunk, but then again, he also didn't, just in case the worse did happen. He also wanted to know what he had done to make this girl not completely hate him, something he had thought impossible unless he really tried, and if he was drunk, then he couldn't have tried. Unless...horror came to his eyes.
"Did you take advantage of me?" he asked in a completely serious and accusing tone.

Violet stood there, arms still crossed. Something was wrong with this boy, and she couldn't place it. The night they met, he acted like a little kid. Of course he was drunk, but usually people just act like assholes, not little kids. Now, he acted like a total asshole without having to be drunk, and there was the fact he didn't remember her. She looked down at the ground in thought. It was awkward to her and she wondered why she was placed in this position.
She furrowed her eyebrows at his foul language as she looked back up at him. Yes, she cussed at times, but she had never cussed randomly. She didn't understand what made him say that and she cocked her head a bit. He was truly a confusing fellow. She shifted so that she was leaning on her right leg. She was kind of tired of just standing there.
Violet looked around them, wondering if anyone else was around. Probably not, but who knew? There were people who liked to be out in the rain. She looked at her dress and cloak with a frown. She didn't notice earlier how bad it looked. "Stupid rain," She thought to herself.
She scoffed at his question and then closed her eyes to try to calm what anger was brewing inside of her once again. She opened her eyes and glared at him, the calming obviously not working. "No I didn't take advantage of you, you blithering idiot!" She suddenly snapped. "Why would you think that? Don't you think if I did I would be talking to you differently than I am?." She shook her head at him. Taking advantage of him? Ha! The thought of it made her sick. "Plus, I wouldn't take advantage of someone like you. You aren't my type. Sorry." She stated rolling her eyes.

Relief washed over him. That was one thing he could cross off on the list of possible things he had done that night, and was definitely glad to see it that way. Most people would be surprised to learn that he was in fact not into that sort of thing. He guessed most people just assumed 'rough and tough' warriors were womanizers of some sort, not him. In fact, more often than not, it was him who was the one being sexually abused, which was how he had grown so paranoid about it. It wasn't really scared of it, but it definitely freaked him out more than other things.
Well, he had knocked out one option, but there were still a lot of other things he could have done. Oh god...what if he had blathered out his whole d*** life story? That would just be...embarrassing wasn't the right word, more like...he would want to get drunk again just so he could kill his drunken 'counterpart.' He was starting to get more annoyed at the rain...he had to reach back to squeeze out water from his braid, which had collected quite a bit. Stupid rain. He didn't want his armor to get rusty either, he was quite fond of the outfit he had chosen for himself in Japan, even if most people did think it looked weird.
What should he do now? He could let her go, but he still wanted to find out more, and she had annoyed him..."Oh, who do think you are to talk to me like that? A simple no would suffice to let me know you controlled yourself." He smirked, and then kind of wished he hadn't. He needed information, not for her to yell at him again, as amusing and somewhat shocking as that could be. He forced a hard look onto his face again, he could always try threatening again, "You're going to tell me what I did, or, if you prefer, I can slice you in half like a toothpick."

The rain just kept pouring as they stood there and practically bickered. Violet wished it would stop as she wiped some water and wet hair out of her face. She was annoyed with it, and she wanted to go somewhere dry. She probably looked miserable right about now. She watched him release water from his braid. What was that going to do? It would just soak up more water.
She shivered a bit as she kept her gaze on him. She was starting to get really cold and he could probably stand the cold more than she could. She looked in the direction of her home and frowned. Even if she did leave now, it would take her a little bit to get home. Not too long, but long enough.
Violet smirked as he did and nodded. "I could've given a simple no, but I'm a complicated girl and I was just making a point." She paused as she rubbed her arms a bit. "And to answer your question, I'm Violet Alexander and I can talk to you however I please." She drew in a deep breath and then let it out. Was this ever going to end?
When he gave her a hard look, she raised an eyebrow, and then he said it. The thing that feared her the most. The image she had endured that night slipped right back into her head and she stumbled backwards into a tree. Her eyes were full of terror as she looked at him, and they started to fill with tears. "You can't do that!" She screamed, "I'm the princess and you're supposed to be the hero!" She slid down the tree onto her behind, just like she did the night outside of the pub. Everything was starting to repeat itself. But would she be the next victim? She burried her face in her knees that were brought up against her chest. She was scared and right now all she could do was cry.
